Hay una escena en Hazme reír donde se combina a la perfección la comedia y el drama. En ella, Ira, un torpe y tímido escritor de monólogos, hace escuchar a su jefe George Simmons, un famoso cómico moribundo, una lista de canciones que pretende animarle. Pero se suceden las canciones interpretadas por cantantes que murieron por enfermedades terminales. Simmons bromea por la torpeza de Ira, hasta que salta Keep me in your heart, de Warren Zevon. Ahí la escena se cierra de manera brusca, Simmons saldrá de la habitación, afectado por la canción. Y es que esta es una de esas canciones peligrosas que no se pueden escuchar en cualquier momento. Una tierna melodía y una letra melancólica. Es decir, una combinación explosiva.
A veces me gustaría quedarme en el corazón del otro por un momento más. Pero al final me convierto en una sombra perecedera y desechable.
